maybe
maybe there is a reason why you forgot about me,
maybe it was the way
i kept breathing when others passed out at your sight.
i was never really okay
or
my hair was never perfect, always messy.
my eyes sunken in, heavy,
perhaps because my thoughts were all over the place,
other people were interested in you,
i don't know what to do, left you with them,
i cared too much, maybe still do,
this is why i find these words.
somewhat for me, but also for you. 

tell me your story, start from the beginning,
start from where you felt unloved,
tell me the things you are too afraid to admit.
tell me what it is that you want most in the world.
i want to know what makes you happy,
i want to make you happy again.

i bottle everything up,
hide my emotions so deep,
spill them on the page occasionally,
and i want to inspire,
i want someone to look at me and say:
"you are the reason why i didn't give up."
